Obituary for WHISENHUNT

Harold Dean Whisenhunt, Sr., 69, born on June 4, 1938, in Shattuck, Oklahoma, a resident of Albuquerque since 1980, died peacefully Saturday, July 14, 2007 in hospice after a prolonged illness. He is survived by his wife, Juanita of Albuquerque; children, William Werner and wife, Renee of Brownfield, Texas, Terri Swift and husband, David Rios of Albuquerque, Karen Otero of Albuquerque, Michael Werner of Phoenix, Arizona, Harold Dean Whisenhunt, Jr., of Albuquerque, and John Whisenhunt and wife, Paula of Albuquerque; 9 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and sisters and brothers, Treva Daniels of Albuquerque, Joan Stout of Albuquerque, Larry Whisenhunt and wife, Connie of Topeka, Kansas, and Leroy Whisenhunt and wife, Dianna, of Laverne, Oklahoma. Mr. Whisenhunt was preceded in death by his mother and father, Everett and Blanche Whisenhunt, and brothers-in-law, Gene Daniels and Dale Stout. Harold worked for Social Security Administration in Gallup, New Mexico for many years, and then at Lovelace Medical Center in Albuquerque, from where he retired several years ago. Services will be held at French's Mortuary at 9300 Golf Course Rd. NW in Albuquerque on Wednesday, July 18, 2007, at 11:00 a.m., and interment will take place at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 2 p.m. Friends may visit French Mortuary - Westside Chapel Tuesday, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Papaw, you are loved and will be greatly missed until we see you again.
