Obituary for WHITING

Frank H. Whiting, 79, a resident of Bosque Farms for 15 years, passed away after an extended illness on Friday July 6, 2007. He is survived by his sisters, Pauline Cox of Lubbock, TX; Mildred Garms and husband, Fred of Bosque Farms, NM; Nancy Meyer of Socorro, NM; Bobby Jane Whiting also of Bosque Farms and sister-in-law, Ester Whiting of El Paso, TX. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins, and many special friends who include Lynette Wilson and son, Jacob and Darla. Frank was preceded in death by his parents, John and Missouri "Bob" Whiting; brothers, John and James Whiting; and brothers-in-law, Bruce Cox and Charles Meyer; and niece, Jane Duke. Frank was born in Roy, NM on October 18, 1927. He served in the United States Army during 1946. After serving in the military, he returned home to Roy where he worked in construction for several years. Later he took over the family farm. Frank retired after moving to Bosque Farms and working for Phillips 66 for 10 years. A Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, July 25, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. at the Santa Fe National Cemetery, Santa Fe, NM.
