Daniel Aaron "Danny" Velasquez, age 12, of Albuquerque, went to Heaven, to be with his Lord Sunday, July 8, 2007. Daniel was energetic, spontaneous, and rambunctious. He lived his young life to the fullest; a risk taker, who always found himself where the action was. Danny enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, fixing things and taking them apart, and was a hard-worker. He loved helping out wherever he was needed. The 4th of July was his favorite holiday. He excelled in school. He was greatly loved by all of his friends and family. Danny is survived by his mother, Virginia Velasquez; father, Frank Velasquez; brother, Kevin Velasquez; grandma, Rachel Juarez; grandma, Elsie and grandpa, Mike Velasquez. A Funeral Service will be held Thursday, July 12, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at Sagebrush Community Church, 6440 Coors Blvd. NW (at La Orilla), 87120 with interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Park. Visitation will be at French Mortuary Westside Chapel Wednesday, July 11, 2007 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been set-up in Daniel's name at Wells Fargo Bank.
