Alejandro "Alex" Martinez was born December 4, 1951 in Bernalillo, NM. He passed away Monday, July 9, 2007. Alex loved the outdoors, especially fishing, boating, deer hunting and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jerry B. and Luciana Martinez and one brother, Edward Martinez. Alex is survived by his wife of 22 years, Isabel of the family home in Bernalillo; one daughter, Ramona Martinez and husband, Javier of Bernalillo; one son, Tino Martinez and wife, Geraldine of Albuquerque; two grandsons, Josetino and Javier Jr.; one sister, Anita Griego and husband, Mamo of Bernalillo; one brother, Anthony Martinez and wife, Diana of San Ysidro, NM; many nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members and friends who loved and will miss him. Services will be held at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Bernalillo. A Rosary will be recited on Wednesday, July 11, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, July 12, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. Private family burial will take place at a later date.
