Maria A. Martinez, born in Tucumcari, NM on June 5, 1947, was called home by the Lord on July 3, 2007, surrounded by her loving family. Maria was a loving mom, grandmother, sister, and aunt, who was and will always be loved by all she came in contact with and will be greatly missed. Maria was preceded in death by her parents, Pablo Cordova and Agapita Cordova; and one nephew, Pablo Cordova. Maria is survived by two sons, Matthew Martinez, Michael Cordova; and daughter, Roxanne Cadena, all of Albuquerque; three brothers, Billy Cordova and wife, Carmen, Felimon Cordova and wife, Rita, all of Albuquerque, and Freddy Cordova and wife, Eileen of Utah; four sisters, Esther Pena and husband, Ramon of Albuquerque, Charlotte Valenzuela and husband, Lencho of Odessa, TX, Carmenita Anaya and husband, Robert, and Sylvia Cordova and fiance, Toby, all of Albuquerque; and 28 nieces and nephews. Pallbearers are Michael Cordova, Antonio Cordova, Armando Cordova, Adrian Cordova, Jeremy Flores, and Fabian Cordova, Sr. Honorary pallbearers are Issac Cordova, Robert Cordova, Jonathan Flores, Fabian Cordova, Jr., Francisco Cadena Jr., and Fabian Martinez. Rosary will be recited Sunday, July 8, 2007, 6:00 p.m. at French Mortuary, Lomas Chapel. Visitation will be one hour prior to the Rosary. Mass will be Monday, July 10, 2007, 9:00 a.m. at the Shrine of St. Bernadette, 11401 Indian School Road NE. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
