Clyde L. Jones, 87, formerly of Albquerque, passed away Thursday, July 5, 2007 in Hobbs, NM. Services will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, July 9, 2007 at Griffin Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Russell Hill officiating. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery. Mr. Jones was born on January 26, 1920 in Anson, TX to Clyde Hugh and Addie Lindsey Jones. He was a WWII Army veteran. Mr. Jones married Charlotte Joyce Rogers on April 18, 1951 in Roswell, NM. They lived in Albuquerque for 49 years where he owned the Clyde L. Jones Drilling Company. He was a member of Hoffmantown Baptist Church. Mr. Jones loved his family. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife of the home; daughter, Sylvia Vourazeris and her husband, Keith of Hobbs; grandchildren, Noel Vourazeris-Turner and her husband, Steve of Abernathy, TX, Adam Vourazeris and his wife, Shana of Victoria, TX; brother, Durwood Jones of Lubbock, TX; sister, Alene Hundley of Houston, TX; five great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
