Obituary for CONNER

Rev. Carmen L. Conner, 84, went to be with his Lord July 4, 2007 in Norman, Oklahoma. His last pastorate was Heights Baptist Church in Albuquerque, NM. He also was a VA Regional Hospital Chaplain, counselor and Primal Intergrational Therapist. He was born in the area of Bagnell, MO in 1922. While attending high school on Independence, KS he met his wife Dorothy McCorkle. They celebrated 65 years of marriage May 9, 2007. After serving as a Marine during WWII in the Pacific Theater he received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Baylor University. He also earned a Bachelor of Divinity and Master of Theology from Central Baptist Theological Seminary in Shawnee, KS. He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers. Survivors are his wife; children John Conner and wife Charlene of Albuquerque; Tim Conner and wife sandy of Leesburg, Florida; and Debbie Skeel and husband Rick of Norman, Oklahoma; and eight grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and many other family members. Services will be Tuesday, July 10, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at Lomas Blvd. Chapel 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE and visitation will be Monday, July 9, 2007 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Lomas Blvd Chapel.
