James W. "Jim" Stevenson entered into the arms of his Lord and Savior on June 26, 2007 in Albuquerque, NM. He was born in Dallas, TX on November 15, 1951. He attended Dallas Hillcrest High School and the University of Corpus Christi. Jim was active in his church and was a devoted family man. He loved life and his spirit was forever young. His out-going personality and sense of humor endeared him to all who knew him. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, J. W. "Steve" and Betty Jacquelyn "Jacque" Stevenson. He is survived by his wife, Penny Bennett; and daughter, J P Bennett-Stevenson of Albuquerque; daughters, Jana Stevenson of San Marcus, Jaime Wyche and husband, Michael of Austin; stepson, Matthew Seagroves and wife, Angel of Oklahoma City, OK; granddaughters, Peyton Wyche and Cody Seagroves; sisters, Shirley Harris and husband, Phil of Emory, TX, Jean Madigan and husband, Steve of Murphy, TX, Sara Kelley and husband, Alfred of Monterey, Mexico; sister-in-law, Bonnie Taylor and husband, Ron; and beloved nieces and nephews. The Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, July 3, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at Trinity United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Animal Humane Association and the American Heart Association.
