Mauro "Jeff" Maddaleni, age 93, of Raton, passed away Saturday, June 30, 2007 in Raton. He was born December 26, 1913 in Spoleto, Italy the son of Guiseppe and Theresa Santi, Maddaleni. Jeff was a Veteran of WW11 serving in the United States Army, a member of St. Patrick's-St. Joseph's Catholic Church, the Raton Elks Lodge, and the United Miners Union. He is survived by his wife Rose of the family home, son Jeffery and wife Marianne of Albuquerque, NM., two grandchildren Mark and Andrea Maddaleni of Albuquerque, NM., numerous nieces and nephews. Recitation of the Most Holy Rosary will be Thursday, July 5, 2007 at 9:30 AM at St. Patrick's-St. Joseph's Catholic Church recited by Frank Cimino, Jr. Mass of the Resurrection will follow at 10:00 AM with Father Daniel Balizan as the celebrant. Burial will follow in the Mt. Calvery Cemetery in Raton. Arrangements and a celebration of love for Jeff Maddaleni are under the direction of the Yaksich-Long Funeral Home of Raton.
