Loraine Barbara Baumgart, longtime resident of Des Moines, IA, passed away Saturday, June 23, 2007 in Albuquerque, NM, at the age of 79. Loraine was born in Burke, ID and was married to Laverne Charles Baumgart who preceded her in death on April 19, 2005. Loraine retired from the Principle Financial Group Credit Union. She is survived by her daughter, Sandy Vereline (Tom) of West Palm Beach, FL; twin sons, Charles (Terrie) and Chris (Karen) Baumgart of Albuquerque, NM. Loraine is also survived by sisters, Thelma Kappelman (Jack) of Nampa , ID, Virginia Fehringer (Jerry) of Caldwell, ID; and brothers, Walter (Nellie) of Castro Valley, CA, and Leroy (Brenda) of British Columbia, Canada. Loraine was proud of her seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Interment will take place in Humphrey, NE. Family requests any memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.
