Obituary for HENZE

Leroy Henry Henze, known to his many friends as Lee, passed away May 23, 2007 at age 85. He was born unto Otto and Ida Abel Henze October 12, 1921 in New Braunfels, TX. He grew up in San Antonio, TX. He had been a resident of Albuquerque since 1963. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 50 years, Grace Salzman Henze, a former school nurse and by his brother, Nelson Henze survived by wife, Audrey of Temple, TX. They had four children, Mark and wife, Alicia of Fort Worth, Matthew and wife, Patricia of Kernersville, NC, Sharon and husband, William Burnett of Plano, TX and Diane McDonald of Albuquerque; seven grandchildren, Jennifer Henze Williams, Christopher and David Henze, Erin and Lyndsey Burnett and Kristyn and Emily McDonald; three great-grandchildren, Jonathan, Christina and Nicholas Cooper. Mr. Henze was employed by the Bendix Corp. for 34 years retiring in 1983. He was a WWII veteran. He has been a member of St. Mark's on-the-Mesa Episcopal Church since 1970. Memorial Services and interment will be held July 6, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Cross Cemetery, 17501 Nacogdoches Road, San Antonio, TX. Memorial contributions, in lieu of flowers, may be made to St. Mark's on-the-Mesa Memorial Fund, 431 Richmond Place NE, Albuquerque, NM 87106.
