Obituary for ZIMMERMAN

Mary Sue Zimmerman, 84, was a resident of Albuquerque until Thursday, June 21, 2007, when she was called home by the Lord. As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ Latter-day Saints, she had great faith in the promise of being reunited with her family in heaven. The world has now lost some sweetness with her passing and she will be greatly missed by all. Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Bobby L. Zimmerman; brothers William Adolph Hopper and G.W. Hopper; sisters Sally, Rae, and Linda Jeanne; niece, Tamara; and nephew, William Curtis. Mary is survived by a brother, Bobby Dale Hopper of Camden, AR; a daughter Cheryl Lynn Beecher and husband, Everett "Sonny" of Albuquerque; son, Robert Rory Zimmerman of Albuquerque; granddaughter, Cheri "Jay" Zimmerman of Albuquerque; she has numerous nieces and nephews in many states and was especially close to niece, Chas L. Frazer of Livermore, CA. Mary served in the Army during WWII and Korea and was honorably discharged. She then went to work for the Social Security Administration and retired after 30 years of service. A special thanks to Pearl (Rose) Hayes from Decision and Care. Viewing will be held on Sunday June 24, 2007 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at French Mortuary. Services will be held Monday, June 25, 2007 at 12:00 noon at the Montano Chapel, 1100 Montano NW, with burial at Gate of Heaven at 7500 Paseo del Norte.
