Obituary for DURAN

Casey S. Duran, 92, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on Tuesday, June 19, 2007. Casey was born in Duran, NM. He retired from the Air Force as a Chief Master Sergeant after 23 years and later worked for Civil Service at Kirtland AFB for 15 years. Casey's greatest satisfaction came from caring for his parents until their death. He was a loyal fan of the UNM Lobos basketball and football and he attended all the games; he loved his flowers and enjoyed working in his yard. Casey is survived by his two sisters, Bessie Duran of San Diego and Ida Garcia and husband, Robert of Albuquerque; several cousins; 27 nieces and nephews; numerous great-nieces and nephews, and many, many friends. Mr. Duran was preceded in death by his parents, Dee and Mary Duran, and ten brothers and sisters. Rosary will be held Tuesday, June 26, 2007, 7:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel. Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, June 27, 2007, 10:00 a.m., at Our Lady of Fatima Church, 4020 Lomas NE. Interment will take place at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
