Florence Chakerian Born January 21, 1918 in Boston, of Armenian immigrants, resident of Albuquerque since 1940, passed away June 18, 2007. Preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Jerry Chakerian. Beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, in-law, and friend. To those who knew and loved her, she embodied boundless curiosity and devotion to social justice. Her joy with each new day taught those around her to embrace life. There will be no service at her request, but her memory can be honored by making donations to animal or humanitarian organizations. We shall miss her.
