Alicia Najar. On Saturday, June 16, 2007, Alicia Najar, 81, was called home to be with our Lord. She was a longtime resident of Albuquerque, formally a native of Carlsbad, NM. Alicia is survived by her children Alice Hayes, David Najar, Angelina Gilpin and husband John and Armando Najar all of Albuquerque; grandchildren Naomi, Diana, Steven and Gabriella; great- grandchildren Armando, Ashley, Jacob, Jermaine, and Nathaniel; step-great-grandchildren Angelica and Felicity; great-great-grandchildren Isabel and Sabrina; her twin sister Arcelia Montoya, and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her five brothers. Alicia was known to many in our community as the "Burrito Lady". A Funeral Service will be celebrated in Alicia's honor on Tuesday, June 19, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at Metropolitan Community Church, 1103 Texas NE. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd NE. Friends and family may visit French Mortuary Lomas Blvd. Chapel from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Family and friends are also invited to a reception immediately following the services on Tuesday at Metropolitan Community Church.
