Patricia D. Roach, age 74, a resident of Los Chavez, NM, passed away on Friday, June 15, 2007. Patricia earned her degree in nursing from Los Angeles Methodist Hospital, California, she started her nursing career in California moving to New Mexico in 1957 and worked for Presbyterian Hospital from 1958-1964, Los Lunas Hospital and Training School from 1964-1972, and retired from Los Lunas Public Schools in 1989 as a school nurse. Patricia enjoyed camping and fishing and working in her garden. Patricia would do anything and everything for family and friends and anyone who needed help. Patricia extended her kindness and generosity to everyone she knew and will be greatly missed by all of us who loved her. She was preceded in death by her husband, William "Bill" Roach; and daughter, Debby Roach. Patricia is survived by her sons, Michael Roach and his wife, Ernestine; and Jerry Roach and his wife, Joyce, all of Albuquerque, NM; granddaughter, Elizabeth Peters, Dawn Boelkins, and Jessica Roach; grandson, Justin Roach; great-grandson, Adrian Griego all of Albuquerque; brothers, Jim Eastman and his wife, Mary Lou of Palm Desert, CA; and Robert Eastman and his wife, Suzanna of Los Chavez, NM; and many nieces and nephews. Services will be held at First Baptist Church of Los Chavez on Tuesday, June 19, 2007 beginning with a visitation at 1:30 p.m.f ollowed with a Memorial Service at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to New Mexico Survivors of Homicide. The family would like to thank the CCC Unit Staff at Presbyterian Hospital for the excellent care given to Patricia.
