Joann Pyburn, 74, a resident of Rio Rancho for the past three years, passed away on June 16, 2007. Joann is survived by her son, Pat Pyburn and wife, Patricia of Rio Rancho; grandchildren, Crystal Hicks, James Pyburn and Cory Pyburn; great-grandchildren, Sydney Foster, Jimmie Hicks and Sasha Pyburn; and brother, Tommy Darrell. Ms. Pyburn was preceded in death by her son, Michael in 1976. Joann had many varied hobbies and interests including crocheting, knitting, needlepoint, pottery making, snowmobile racing, hot air ballooning and learning to fly a bi-plane.
