Obituary for BURT

Sharon Ann Burt, 71, a resident of Albuquerque, died in her sleep on Wednesday, June 13, 2007. She is survived by her sister, Nancy Kay Rogers of Albuquerque; cousins, Caroline DeWolfe Gant of Ft. Worth, TX, Doris Elizabeth DeWolfe of Prescott, AZ and James P. DeWolfe, III of Plano, TX; and her church family at St. Stephens United Methodist Church. Sharon was preceded in death by her husband, Theo Burt, Jr. on November 12, 2006; and her sons, Walter Burt in 2003 and Neil Lowry Burt in February 2007. Sharon was born on January 21, 1936 in Houston, TX. She worked as a teacher for many years in Santa Fe and most recently managed the thrift shop for the Animal Humane Association. She was a dedicated worker at her church teaching adult Sunday School and over the years working on heading many committees. Sharon was a loving and devoted friend to both family and acquaintances and will be sorely missed by all whose lives she touched. Cremation has taken place and private interment of her cremated remains will take place at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Friends are invited to a Memorial Service and reception to be held Monday, June 18, 2007, 11:00 a.m., at St. Stephens United Methodist Church, 4601 Juan Tabo NE.
