Obituary for GORE

Thomas William Gore, 86, a longtime resident of Albuquerque, passed away on Sunday June 3, 2007. Born in Kemmerer, WY, Gore earned a B.S. in civil engineering (with honors) from the University of Wyoming. His extensive career as an engineer included posts across Wyoming, Colorado, New Mexico and Washington serving both private industry and government clients. He served as a lieutenant in the U.S. Army and as a captain for the U.S. Army Engineers. Gore was an avid storyteller, able to enthrall his stepchildren, grandchildren and great-grandchildren with stories, jokes and anecdotes from his past; he loved to make people laugh. He had an insatiable sweet tooth, which complimented his love of chocolate and cooking. He always shared his passion for fine foods with those around him. Gore was preceded in death by his two sons, Jimmy and Tommy. He is survived by: his wife of 32 years, Peggy; his five stepchildren: Catherine Harris and her husband, David, Elizabeth Steiner and her husband, Michael, Judith Bosland and her husband, Paul, Timothy Golden and his wife, Kim, Teresa Wilson and her husband, Scott; ten grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren. A Funeral Service will be held in his honor on Tuesday, June 5, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at French Mortuary, Lomas Chapel. The viewing will be held at 9:00 a.m. prior to the Funeral Service.
