Ethel Anne Layne, age 84, passed away in Lake Zurich, IL on May 12, 2007. She was born on October 7, 1922 in Orillia, Ontario, Canada, moving to Ferndale, MI as a teenager. Anne was a 33 year resident of Albuquerque recently moving to Illinois. She was a longtime member and active participant in the Albuquerque chapter of the American Business Women's Association. She enjoyed going out with her friends and spending time with her family and her grandchildren. She is survived by husband William Layne of Algonquin, IL; sons, David Layne and wife, Shery of Flower Mound, TX; Randy Layne and wife, Ellen of Crystal Lake, IL; brother, William J. Foster and wife, Nicky of Traverse City, MI; grandchildren, Garrett and Erin Layne of Flower Mound, TX, Hunter Layne of Crystal Lake, IL, and Cory Shier of Mesa, AZ. Memorial service will be held Wednesday, May 30, 2007 at 2:30 p.m. at Oakview Cemetery and Mausoleum, 1032 North Main, Royal Oak, MI 48067. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her honor to the Bladder Cancer Advocacy Network, 4813 St. Elmo Avenue, Bethesda, MD 20814.
