Obituary for VASQUEZ

Marilyn J. Vasquez, age 77, of Albuquerque, passed away after an extended illness on Monday, May 14, 2007. Marilyn was born and raised in Socorro to Beatrice and Ernest Stapleton. After her mother's death, she attended and graduated in 1948, from Harwood Girls School in Albuquerque. Marilyn was well known for her wonderful baking, cooking, and hospitality. She was very active in her church for many years. Marilyn never met a stranger and will be greatly missed by all. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Harry B. Burgess, and her second husband, Eliberto Vasquez. Marilyn and Harry had two beloved daughters who survived them, Myra Rollins and her husband, Gary, and Anna Hernandez and her husband, Art; dearly loved brothers, Ernest Stapleton and his wife, RoseMary and Conrad Stapleton and his wife, Linda; the grandchildren whom she adored, Andrew and Austin Hernandez; and many cousins; one aunt; nieces and nephews, and friends. Services were already held and interment was in the Santa Fe National Cemetery.
