Remijio Dan Marquez, 87, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, died Tuesday, May 15, 2007. A veteran of WWII and a retiree of the AT&SF railroad, he is survived by his wife of 66 years, Esther Marquez; children, Georgia Mitchell of West Plains, MO, Lorraine Padilla and husband, Leo, Robert Marquez, Sylvia Gehring and husband, Clayton of Douglas, ND, Katherine Burt and husband, Bill, Gloria Sanchez and husband, Johnny, Priscilla Lopez and husband, Anthony, Elizabeth Mares and husband, Joe, Danny Marquez and wife, Deidre; 16 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren; and sister, Vivian Marquez. He was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel and Guadalupe Marquez; and several brothers and sisters. A Memorial Service will be held Friday, May 18, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at Calvary Chapel of Albuquerque, 4001 Osuna Rd. NE, Albuquerque, NM.
