Obituary for LONG

Stephen Wesley Long, 69, cherished husband, father, and friend, passed away peacefully on Friday. Stephen was a life long resident of Santa Fe and a Marine Corps veteran with over 40 years of sobriety. As owner of Long's Nursery for over 30 years, Stephen landscaped many public and private places in Santa Fe. He loved his dogs and the outdoors, camping, fishing and exploring New Mexico. Stephen was also an accomplished artist whose many works adorn the homes of his family and friends. He was a philosopher, Buddhist and naturalist. Stephen is survived by his wife Darlene; sister Frances Spencer of Utah; son William Long of California; daughter Lori Jameson of Albuquerque; daughter Stephani and son in law James Lovell of Rio Rancho; Elizabeth Long of Rio Rancho; and eight beloved grand children. His daughters, Dorene and Kimberley preceded him in death. Interment will be held at the National Cemetery in Santa Fe.
