Obituary for MADRID

Brian Lee Madrid, age 47, unexpectedly passed away on May 2, 2007 due to an automobile accident near Mason City, IA. Brian was born October 7, 1959 on the feast of Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary, to Nick B. and Loretta L. Madrid. He was a lifelong resident of Albuquerque. Early in his life he worked along side his father, uncles, and brothers who founded and developed a window manufacturing company, Madrid Manufacturing Inc. Later in life he enjoyed employment in the restuarant business, hoping to one day be a chef. For the last eight years he was the sole caretaker for his cousin, Jeannie Duckworth of Albuquerque, who survived the accident and is recovering. She is deeply grateful for his compassionate and loving care and will miss him dearly. Brian is survived by his grandmother, Frances G. Quintana; father and mother, Nick B. and Loretta L. Madrid; his brothers, Gordon, Bruce, Nick, Matthew; sister, Renee M. Blascziek, all of Albuquerque; and his youngest brother, Daniel of Minnesota; one uncle, Edward J. Madrid and his companion, Anna Baca; many cousins, nieces, and nephews. He is also survived by uncles, Edward, Marc, Merlin, and Raleigh Fournier; two aunts, Marie Pingatore and Blanche Kevinen; many cousins all of Sault Ste Marie, MI. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Vicente Madrid and Edward C. Fournier; grandmother, Ruth Sprinkett; two uncles, Richard and Vincent Madrid; and one nephew, Joshua A. Madrid. A Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of the Assumption Church on Tuesday, May 8, 2007 at 10 a.m. Pallbearers will be his five brothers and brothers-in-law, Gary L. Blascziek.
