Estefanita G. Maldonado, 1908-2007, was welcomed home by our Lord Jesus Christ on April 24, 2007. She was led into His presence by the hand of the Virgin Mary after a long and courageous life. She gave birth to 11 children and raised eight by herself. She was preceded in death by seven children, Kalistro, Odelia, Francisco, Lupe, Mary, Eusebio Jr., and Mary Helen; and her husband, Alex Maldonado. She is survived by her remaining four children, Irene Blea and husband, Gilbert, Gloria Silva, Richard Chacon and wife, Judy, and Raymond Chacon; one brother, Joe Frank Gurule and wife, Vera, of Price, UT. Mom was born to Epemino Gurule and Felicita Chavez in Santa Barbara, now know as Martinez, a suburb of Albuquerque, NM territory on September 2, 1908. Our mother left behind a legacy of love; 31 grandchildren; many, many great-grandchildren; and many great-great-grandchildren. Her love, determination and dedication will never be forgotten.
