Valerie Nieto, age 28, passed away Wednesday, April 11, 2007. Valerie loved life, music, singing, dancing and she also loved to laugh. Her friends and family were very important to her. Valerie was preceded in death by her sister, Julie Nieto and her cousin, Samar Griego. Valerie is survived by her mother, Eleanor Griego; two sons, Giovanni Nieto and Michael Angelo Nieto-Cosby; grandparents, Paul Griego and Juanita Cano; nephew, Dominic; many aunts, uncles, cousins, other family members and friends who loved and will miss her. A viewing will be held in the Chapel of Direct Funeral Services, 2919 4th St. NW. in Albuquerque, on Tuesday, April 17, 2007 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held at Legacy Church, 7201 Central Ave. NW, on Thursday, April 19, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at San Jose de Armijo Cemetery off Coors and Arenal. A reception will then take place back at Legacy Church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to her mother, Eleanor Griego, to assist with expenses.
