Herman B. Baca, 90, passed away at home surrounded by his loving family Saturday, April 7, 2007. He was born in Villa Nueva, NM and was a longtime resident of Albuquerque, where he worked as a roofer. Our beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Juanita; five children, Raymond and wife, Pearl, Rudy and wife Irene, Robert, David and wife, Laura, Benny and wife, Lisa; grandchildren, Angela Garcia, Ramona Baca, Bernadette Santiago, Raymond Baca Jr., Gabriel Baca, Melissa Chavez, Lena Munoz, Consuelo Munoz, Jose Solis, Eugene Solis, Juliandra Garcia, Benny Baca Jr., Jacqueline Baca, Robert Baca, Herman Baca, David Baca Jr., Felicia Baca, Jonathan Baca, Jennifer Baca, Phillip Moffett, Rudy Baca Jr., and Phillip Baca; 33 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who loved and will miss him. Services will be held at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 5415 Fortuna NW. A Rosary will be recited on Tuesday, April 10, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 11, 2007 at 9:00 a.m. Burial will follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery, with U.S. Army Honors. Pallbearers will be Sammy Garcia, Raymond Baca Jr., Carlos Chavez, Benny Baca Jr., Gabriel Baca, David Baca Jr., Jose Solis, and Robert Baca.
