Obituary for ROWE

Glenn D. Rowe, 87, died March 3, 2007 after a brief battle with cancer. Born in Iowa in 1919, he moved to Albuquerque with his parents in 1934. He is survived by his devoted wife of 58 years, Jane J. Rowe; daughter, Lori A. Rowe and husband Ralph E. Bridgeman; son, Glen D. Rowe and wife Ann; grandchildren Bailey, Grant, and Cassie Rowe; brother Hadley M. Rowe; all of Albuquerque, NM; sister Marna McWhorter of San Antonio, TX, and other relatives, and cousins, nieces and nephews, and their families. He was preceded in death by his parents, Merton M. and Opal K. Rowe; sister Arlene Lane; and brother Clarence M. Rowe. Glenn had been a building contractor, and retired from the NM State Highway Department. He built and remodeled homes and buildings, managed his rental properties, and enjoyed assisting family and friends with mechanical and building projects. He was a 54-year life member of the BPOE. He lived life to the fullest and enjoyed sharing outdoor activities- fishing, boating, and hunting with friends and family, and visiting his Chama, NM cabin. He was very proud of his children and grandchildren and shared his love of nature with them. A resident of the North Valley for 73 years, he was an avid gardener. Cremation has taken place. Friends and family are invited to commemorate his life at 612 Charles Place NW, Village of Los Ranchos, between 1:00 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, April 15, 2007, 505- 343-0603.
