Helen Phyllis Valentine was born on August 26, 1924 in Albuquerque, NM. She married Thomas H. Salmon on June 7, 1941. Helen was preceded in death by her grandmother, Grace Valentine who raised her in Escanaba, MI; her father, Glenn E. Valentine; and mother, Bertha Valentine; step-mother, Nina Valentine; and daughter, Patricia Salmon. She is survived by her loving husband, Rev. Thomas H. Salmon; two daughters, Bertha Matheny and husband, Edward Matheny, Mary Sue Culbertson and husband, William O. Culbertson III, all of Albuquerque, NM; son, Thomas M. Salmon and wife, Claudette of Ramona, CA; one sister, Jo Ann and husband, Charlie Haines of Ruidoso, NM; cousin, Mary and John Baker of Escanaba, MI; nine grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren; and two nieces. Service will be held at Faith Chapel, 1726 Girard NE, Wednesday, April 4, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Thomas Salmon and Rev. William Culbertson officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 3, 2007, 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at French Mortuary, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE. Interment will be at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE.
