Obituary for GIVLER

Marvin R. Givler passed away April 1, 2007 at Anna Kaseman Presbyterian Hospice from a stroke he suffered 4 days earlier. He was born April 8, 1918 in Kansas City, KS to Homer Givler and Mabel Loebner Givler. He was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife, Willa Belle Givler. He is survived by his wife, Hazel; son, Russell Givler and his wife, Ruth; son, Randall Givler and his wife, Lisa; his four granddaughters and their families, Amber O'Donnell and husband, Chris and their children, Devin and Ian, Stacy Sanchez and her children, William and David, Toni Maestas and husband, D.J. and their children, Tyra and Diego and Karen Armstrong and her husband, Brad and their children, Tyler and Brayden. He is also survived by his sister, Betty Heinson and her husband, Leo. Marvin served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He also was a missionary helper in Botswana and Rhodesia during the early 1970s. He was also a member of the Mason's and Shriners. Memorial Services will be conducted on Thursday, April 5, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at the Del Norte Baptist Church, 5800 Montgomery Blvd. NE. He will be laid to rest at the Santa Fe National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Albuquerque Rescue Mission, P.O. Box 331, Albuquerque, 87103.
