Obituary for NESBIT

Linda Lee Nesbit, born September 9, 1945, died March 28, 2007 following a courageous battle with cancer. Linda was a native of Denton County, TX. She spent the majority of her life in Santa Fe and Albuquerque, NM. She was a long-time employee of General Electric, a machinist and engraver by craft. Linda returned to Texas in the early 1990s and attended Texas Tech with a major in Social work, where she completed her substance abuse counseling accreditation. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Hugh and Zola Nesbit, and her much loved grandson, Joshua Ray Lee Ozuna. She leaves behind her longtime friend and companion Pat Ellerman of Lubbock, TX; her daughters: Renee Ozuna of Rome, NY and Rena Berube and husband, Jeff of East Harford, CT; her son, Ray Gray of Peralta, NM; and she will be sorely missed by her nine grandchildren, Phillip, Charlotte, Serena, Damek, PJ, Nick, Alexandra, Matthew, and Jarred. She also leaves behind many beloved friends. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. Monday, April 2, 2007 in the chapel at St. John's United Methodist Church, where a Funeral Service will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Monday morning. Interment will follow at her parents' side in Memorial Gardens Cemetery of Santa Fe.
