Doris Jean Barnes, 83, a resident of Los Lunas and formerly of Albuquerque, passed away Monday, March 12, 2007. She was born September 22, 1923 in Mexico, MO to Sylvan John and Ruth Tuepker. She married Myron Wayne Barnes in Mexico, MO, on January 21, 1948, he preceded her in death on January 14, 1988 after 40 years of marriage. She is survived by her daughter, Susan E. Weiler and husband, Michael of Clinton, UT; two granddaughters, Yvonne Jackson, stationed in Germany with the U.S. Air Force and Zabrina Weiler of Clinton, UT; and two great-grandchildren, Kendeyl and Keenan Jackson. Mrs. Barnes was preceded in death by her two sons, John Wayne Barnes and Andrew Barnes. She was a member of the Peralta Memorial United Methodist Church. Mrs. Barnes was a retired Registered Nurse and had worked for Los Lunas Hospital and Training School for 17 years. Cremation has taken place and Memorial Services will be held Monday, April 2, 2007, 2:00 p.m., at Peralta Memorial United Methodist Church, 25 Wesley Rd, Peralta, NM. Interment of Cremated remains has taken place at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
