Lorraine N. Watkins, a longtime resident of Albuquerque, born July 4, 1923, passed away Monday, March 5, 2007. She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, W. LaMarr Watkins. She is survived by sons, Michael L. Watkins and partner, Kelly Boley, Reid H. Watkins and daughter-in-law, Annemarie Rudy, and Chaun Q. Watkins; two grandchildren, Jason Watkins, wife, Jessica and great-grandson, Landon M. Watkins and Reid H. Watkins, Jr. Lorraine was a senior member of the banking community in New Mexico and Texas for over 40 years. She was a long active and well respected member of Credit Professionals International and Credit Women. A Service to celebrate her life will be held Wednesday, March 21, 2007 at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Church, 5415 Fortuna Rd. NW. Lorraine will be greatly missed. Although her time with us was much too short, the love she gave will carry through a lifetime. A friend for life, she never abandoned anyone in need, always willing to open her heart and her arms. Say not in grief that she is no more but say in thankfulness that she was. A death is not the extinguishing of a light, but the putting out of the lamp because the dawn has come.
