Obituary for GRIM

Molly Anne Broughman Grim passed away at home on March 14, 2007. She was born on April 13, 1933 in New York City, but spent most of her youth in Virginia. She loved New Mexico, especially the Rio Grande Valley and always called it home. Molly considered New Mexico to be God's Country. She was always ready for some green chile and beans. She was a nurse for 50 years, and was always ready to share her knowledge. She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Teresa Broughman; a brother, Elmer Broughman; and a sister Agnes Ashley. She is survived by her children, Beth Sumner and husband, Steve of Las Cruces, NM, Ann Harper and husband, Mark of Clovis, NM, Linda Maxwell of Richmond, KY, and R. Alan Grim and wife, Angela of Idaho Falls, ID; a sister, Dorothy Britt of Hendersonville, NC; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star at Belen's Jasmine # 45 and Hatch # 52 and was part of the Ft. Seldon's Hookers and Strippers Quilting Club. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, March 19, 2007 at Graham's Mortuary Chapel, 555 W. Amador, Las Cruces, NM. The family wishes to thank Mesilla Valley Hospice, Southern New Mexico Rehabilitation Hospital, Dr. Klonis and his staff, and Kathy, Kris, Raylene, Denise and Maura from MVRH for all their kindness. Donations may be made to the Heart Association or Mesilla Valley Hospice.
