DeWitt Maness was born September 4, 1927. DeWitt passed away early Sunday, March 11, 2007, in the company of family and comforts of home in Horizon City, TX. DeWitt was a long time resident of Tijeras, NM. He is survived by wife, Clara Maness, of 45 years; daughters, Sue Dumpert, Shelby Moore and husband, Scott, Ann Mitchell, Sherry Penny and husband, Gary; son, Stacy Maness and wife, Barbara; ten grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. DeWitt has long been the patriarch of a mixed family. He will always be remembered and loved for his sense of humor, and ability to fix anything, among many things. The family is thankful for his peaceful passing and for the love and support shown by many during this difficult time. Cremation is planned.
