Obituary for JIMENEZ

Published in the Albuquerque Journal on Friday March 02, 2007

Gabriel Jimenez, 42 years old, (September 21, 1964). Gabe left us on February 25, 2007, to be with the Lord he finally found and was being guided by. He was working with Sister Bernise whom always believed in him, helping serve the homeless and helping organize the clothing for the homeless. He was well respected in St. Francis Church by the priests and nuns and all the various neighbors. He leaves behind his mother, Annie, who tried to help him through all the tough years, who gave all her love and energy to turn him around and finally, put him in the hands of the Lord to help him and guide him. He also leaves behind his uncle, Jose and his aunt, Rosemary who gave him the chance to see the errors of his ways and to give him shelter these last few years. His cousin, Gloria and her husband, Robert; cousins, Johnny, Theresa, and Angelia, who showed him what love and kindness is all about; his brothers and sisters, Ronnie, Marty, Steve, Sandi, and Felicia, who tried to help him throughout his life, who loved him as a brother, knowing in their hearts that he is in a better place and at peace with himself. He is with his dad, Arturo Jimenez, and the Lord now; May you be at peace. Gabe, you will be greatly missed. Pallbearers are Robert Quintana, Clyde Archibeque, Johnnie Romero, Daniel Romero, Joedean Romero, and Joedan Romero. Services will be held on Friday, March 2, 2007 at St. Francis Church on Pacific and South Broadway. A Rosary will be said at 9:00 am, followed immediately by a Mass.
