Obituary for SHUMWAY

Kenneth Jack, 82, a resident of Los Lunas, passed away Thursday, February 22, 2007 at his home. He was born May 2, 1934 in Long Beach, CA, the son of Joseph Lorin and Ada E. Shumway. He married Clelia in June of 1949 in Salt Lake City, UT. Mr. Shumway was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Valencia Ward. He was a veteran of WWII serving in the U.S. Army Air Corps. He retired from Sandia Labs after 30 years of service. He was known by many as a Good Samaritan. Mr. Shumway is survived by his wife of 58 years, Clelia; children, Kenneth J. Shumway Jr. of Louisiana, Nancy K. Thomas of Albuquerque, Sandra J. Scott of Mesa, AZ; grandchildren, Thomas, Rachel and Elizabeth Scott, Miranda, Theresa, David and Michael Shumway; sister, Dorothy Shumway; brothers, Gordon, James, Robert and Don Shumway. Services will be held Wednesday, February 28, 2007, 10:00 a.m., at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Valencia Ward, Los Lunas, NM. Interment will take place 3:00 p.m., at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
