Gene H. Jeys, formerly of Albuquerque, NM, died in Santa Maria, CA on January 28, 2007. Gene was in quality assurance at Sandia National Laboratories for 28 years. His volunteer service with The Boy Scouts of America for over 40 years was a great source of pride to him. He was a forming member and president of the Unitarian Universalist Westside Congregation in Rio Rancho. He is survived by his sons, Michael, Garry, Randy, and Dane; and their mother, Violet; grandchildren, Jeffrey and Heidi and Jaime; as well as his wife, Evelyn; and step-daughter, Anna Lee Zucker. Memorial Services will be held at the Unitarian Universalist Westside Congregation, 1650 Abrazo Road, Rio Rancho, at 2 p.m., March 3, 2007. Burial will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to The Boy Scouts of America or the Universalist Westside Congregation.
