JANE E. Dr. Jane E. Hartman, ND, PhD, DIHom (UK), DHM (UK), passed away on February 20, 2007, at the age of 79. She was a former college professor and workshop leader. For more than twenty-five years, she has lived in New Mexico researching, teaching, and practicing energy techniques to heal imbalances in living systems. Prior to her time in Santa Fe and Albuquerque, she spent forty-five years living in coastal Maine. Dr. Hartman was an ordained minister and an award-winning author of books for young people and adults. Four of her children's titles on animal behavior and the environment have won recognition as Outstanding Science Books for Children by the National Science Teachers Association and the Children's Book Council. Among her fourteen fiction and non-fiction books are two books about Native American women -- "Cougar Woman" and "Hoku and the Sacred Stones" -- a humerous novel set in Maine, entitled "Hatchet Harbor" -- and "Radionics & Radiesthesia: A Guide to Working with Energy Patterns." Dr. Hartman was born in Red Bank, NJ on February 17, 1928, and has no surviving family. She leaves behind many loving friends that will remember her always.
