Obituary for WULF

Ernest C. Wulf, 77, died February 12, 2007, at his home from congestive heart failure. Cremation has taken place. Memorial Services will be at 4pm, Thursday, February 22, 2007, at Temple Baptist Church, 1613 Arizona NE, with Associate Pastor Fred Gurule officiating. Ernest was born on April 30, 1929, at Dodge Center, MN, and graduated from high school in Charles City, IA. He enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in 1948 and while stationed in Dayton, OH, he married Shirley Werner on April 15, 1950. During his Air Force career, he primarily worked with high altitude research and development of pressure suits and helmets. Master Sgt. Wulf retired after serving 22 years. He was a member of American Legion Post 49 in Albuquerque. Ernest drove a school bus for many years for special needs children with Helweg and Farmer Transportation Co. in Albuquerque. He enjoyed racing go-carts, cars, and making beautiful wooden toys. He joined the Tokyo Sports Car Club while stationed in Japan and won many trophies while competing in his MGA sports car. Mr. Wulf is survived by his wife, Shirley Wulf; and son, Randy Wulf of Albuquerque; sister and brother-in-law Lucille and Glenn Randall; nieces and nephew, Marge Stout, Mary and Jim Randall; his aunt, Thelma Wulf; and cousins Maurine Wulf and Harold Deno. He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Ronald; and infant daughter, Susan. French Mortuary 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE 275-3500
