Obituary for MYERS

Lois Eleanor Myers, 92, passed away at her home into the loving arms of her Savior on Friday, February 16, 2007. Lois was born to Leo and Emily Lacey in a sod house in Wallace County, KS, on January 26, 1915. After earning her RN degree in 1936, she married Preston, her high school sweetheart, and they made their home in Denver, CO. In 1955, the family moved to Albuquerque when Preston was relocated by Mountain Bell Telephone Co. She dedicated her life to loving and caring for her family, friends, and many in need of her loving care. She was a faithful and supporting member of St. John's United Methodist Church for 52 years. Lois was preceded in death by her husband, Preston, and her sister, Fern Levan. She is survived by her sister, Laberta Powell; daughter Donna Gardner and husband, Murray, of Kamuela, HI; daughter Shirley Marble and husband, Cliff, of Albuquerque; and daughter Emily Greenwood and husband, Dave, also of Albuquerque; six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and many loyal friends. Memorial donations can be made to St. John's United Methodist Church Organ Fund, 2626 Arizona NE. Friends may visit French Mortuary, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE on Tuesday, February 20, 2007 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Services will be held at St. John’s United Methodist Church, 2626 Arizona NE on Wednesday, February 21, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. Private interment will immediately follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE.
