Melchor "Johnny" Moreno, 73, longtime resident of Albuquerque, passed away Wednesday, February 14, 2007 surrounded by his loved ones. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Candelaria "Candy"; son, Alex Salazar Jr. and wife, Helen, of Albuquerque; daughter, Viola Gutierrez and husband, Bert, of Houston, TX; brother, Julian Moreno of Albuquerque; sister, Reyna Moreno of Santa Ana, CA; nine grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews and friends, including a special niece, Regina Moreno. Prayer Service will be held Sunday, February 18, 2007, 7:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel. Services will be held Monday, February 19, 2007, 10:30 a.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, with Brother Richard Mansfield and Pedro Moreno officiating. Friends may visit French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, Sunday, 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Johnny will be dearly missed by his loving family and friends.
