CECILIA A. A Memorial Service for Cecilia Salinas will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 15, 2007 at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church with Deacon Tilar officiating. Her Funeral Mass was held at 10:00 a.m. at San Jose Catholic Church on Wednesday, February 7, 2007 in Carlsbad, NM. She was interred in Carlsbad Cemetery. Arrangements are by West Funeral Home Cecilia Ann Salinas was born June 10, 1962 in Sacramento, CA to Jose Mario and Helen (Fernandez) Salinas. The family moved to Carlsbad in 1964 and back to California in 1967. In 1977 they moved to Albuquerque, NM where Cecilia graduated high school. Upon graduation, she became employed with J.C. Penney's. She was the Catalog Department supervisor and a very diligent worker, never missing a day. Cecilia had met Kambiz Omidvar, the "love of her life", and they were engaged to be married. She was a member of the Risen Savior Catholic Church in Albuquerque and an active member of United Way. She is survived by her parents, Mario and Helen Salinas of Carlsbad; brothers, Christopher Salinas and wife, Susan and Frank Salinas and wife, Joanne, all of Albuquerque, NM, and TSGT Jake Salinas and wife, Karen, of Cannon Air Force Base, Clovis, NM; two nephews, Christian and Christopher Jr.; and four nieces, Vanessa, Destiny, Samantha, and Ashlie.
