Felipe (Phil) Salazar, born May 29, 1929, passed away peacefully on Thursday, Feb. 8, 2007, after a three-year struggle with Pulmonary Fibrosis due to exposure to asbestos while serving with the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. Phil is survived by his loving wife, Celina. They were married in their hometown of Lamy, N.M., on July 2, 1953. Phil is also survived by his six children, Yvonne, Al, Gertie, Cathy, Phillip and Annette; sisters Fanny and Kena; two daughters-in-law; 12 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
