Joan Kathryn Bivens, 62, of Rio Rancho, passed away on Friday, February 9, 2007. Born September 20, 1944, the daughter of William Louis and Agnes Margaret Baldermann in Collingswood, NJ. Joan was a pillar of the educational community with more than 17 years of service as an Administrative secretary and Educational Assistant for both Rio Rancho and Albuquerque Public Schools. Joan was a beloved wife and mother. She is survived by her husband, Lon Bivens; son, William "Billy" Bivens and wife, Pamela; daughter, Michelle Bivens and fiance, Tom Kettles; two grandchildren, Stephanie Haynes and Brianna Kathryn Bivens; unborn; plus numerous cousins, aunts, and uncles. Visitation for Joan will be held on Sunday, February 11, 2007 from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m., Monday, February 12, 2007 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Chapel of Daniels Family Funeral Services, Sara Rd. at Meadowlark Ln., Rio Rancho. The Service will be held on Tuesday, February 13, 2007 at 6:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Daniels Family Funeral Services, Sara Rd. at Meadowlark Ln., Rio Rancho. Private interment will take place in Vista Verde Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the "Joan Bivens Memorial Fund" at any First Financial Credit Union.
