Barbara Alvardo, 58, a resident of Albuquerque, NM since 1979, died Thursday, February 8, 2007. She is survived by her mother, Caroline Mentemeyer; husband, Albert Alvarado; son, Aaron Alvarado; brother, Richard Mentemeyer and wife Linda and sister, Marilyn Mentemeyer. She was preceded in death by her father Alfred Mentemeyer. Barbara was a retired Elementary School Teacher of 35 years for Albuquerque Public Schools and frequently volunteered at Cherry Hills Library. She was also a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Community Church. A Rosary will be recited by Deacon Chuck Cullen on Sunday, February 11, 2007. 7:00 p.m. at French Mortuary, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE. Mass will be celebrated on Monday, February 12, 2007, 10:00 a.m. at Prince of Peace Catholic Community, 12500 Carmel Ave. NE, with Father Mike Shea, Celebrant.
