Louise Barber Eldridge, 84, a resident of Roswell, NM for over 20 years, died Sunday, February 4, 2007. She is survived by her husband, Bill Eldridge of Roswell; daughters, Glenda Trehern and husband, Jim and Jackie Barber, all of Canyon, NM; step-children, Billieree Lee and husband, Eddy of Springerville, AZ, Bert Eldridge and wife, Ruth of Roswell, and Debbie Terrill and husband, Mike of Alamosa, CO; eight grandchildren, Becki, Glenn, Devlyn, Glenn, Trey, Justin, Dee, and Tawny; 11 step-grandchildren, Buddy, Danny, Randy, Kim, Dale, Carrie Jo, Terrie, Brian, Trisha, Travis, and Willie; many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Ray Rackley and wife, Maime of El Paso, TX, JL Rackley; sister, Moyce Smith and husband, Bill, all of Hugo, OK. Mrs. Eldridge was preceded in death by her first husband, Glenn C. Barber; son, Alfred "Gub" Barber; and step-son, Jimmy Dale Eldridge. She was a longtime resident of the Jemez Valley, working at both the Jemez Valley Schools and the Hummingbird Music Camp. Services will be held Thursday, February 8, 2007, 10:00 a.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE. Friends may visit French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, Wednesday, February 7, 2007, 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The Family of Mrs. Eldridge would like to express their appreciation to Dr. Rader and Dr. Smith of Roswell, and her home care provider, Kathy, as well as the staff of The Heart Hospital of New Mexico.
