Obituary for JOJOLA

Robert "Bob" Jojola, a life-long resident of Albuquerque, died suddenly on Thursday, February 1, 2007 due to complications following surgery. He was preceded in death by his father, Simon Jojola; and mother, Cora Jojola. Bob is survived by his loving wife, Judy; best friend, Benji (dog); sisters, Mrs. Paul (Emma) Maestas, Rosalie Montano and husband, Joe, Cora Trujillo and companion, Larry Rubio; brothers, Salomon Jojola and wife, Josie, Michael Jojola and companion, Pat Torn. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews near and dear to him as well as great-nieces and nephews. In addition he is survived by nephews, Dan Edblom and wife, Tracy and daughters, Callie and Jessie of Novato, CA, and Jon Edblom and daughter, Erin of Duango, CO; and niece, Kari Edblom of Albuquerque; as well as good friends Randy and Leslie Ponce and children, Doug and Max of Durango, CO. Bob was retired from the City of Albuquerque. His proudest Accomplishment was helping to start the School on Wheels. In his retirement he loved the horse races and hunting, fishing and golf. He lived life to the fullest and will never to be forgotten by those who knew and loved him. Rosary will be recited Saturday, February 3, 2007, 1:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, February 5, 2007, 10:00 a.m., at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, 5310 Claremont NE.
