Lucy G. Garcia, 83, died Thursday, February 1, 2007. She had been a resident of Albuquerque since 1940. Lucy was born January 18, 1924 in Seboyeta, NM, the daughter of Samuel Garcia and Perfecta. Mrs. Garcia is survived by her children: Sandra Griego, Bennie Garcia and wife, Denise, Anthony Garcia and wife, Natalie; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brothers, Sam and Army Garcia; and sister, Dolores Hoffman and husband, James. Lucy was preceded in death by her husband Bennie in 1971. Visitation will be 8:00 a.m., Monday, February 5, 2007 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 550 Atrisco Dr. SW, with the Rosary to be recited at 8:30 a.m. and the Mass at 9:00 a.m. A reception will follow the Mass at the Parish Hall from 10:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Interment will follow at the National Cemetery in Santa Fe at 2:00 p.m. also on Monday. Pallbearers will be Martin Garcia, Richard Garcia, Alfred Santillanes, Jeremy Montoya, Brittany Abernathy, Siarra Garcia, and Jesse Montoya. Honorary pallbearer will be Steven Garcia.
