SAMUEL F. JR. Lt. Col. Samuel F. Marks, Jr. USAF (Ret.), 77, a resident of Albuquerque passed away on Thursday, January 25, 2007. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Joan Marks; two brothers, Walter Marks (Phyliss), and John Marks (June). He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Esther Marks and his brother, Victor Marks. He was born in Kane, PA on November 23, 1929. He retired from the U.S. Air Force after serving his country for 22 years and then went to work with Civil Service for the U.S. Air Force for an additional 20 years. Throughout his career he worshipped in Base Chapels. During his career he had many interesting assignments including two in Germany, Vietnam, California, Kansas, Ohio, New Mexico, England and Washington, DC. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, February 1, 2007, 10:00 a.m., at French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel. Interment will take place at Santa Fe National Cemetery, 1:00 p.m. Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to Vista Care Hospice, 5639 Jefferson St. NE, Albuquerque, NM 87109.
